COMPETENCY

Graduated cum laude with an associate degree in Automotive Technology from Lansing Community College and bachelor’s degree in Engineering Technology from Lawrence Technological University.

Growing up with a father as a general contractor has certainly fueled my passion for construction. At the age of 12 I began working for him and acquired significant insight and hands-on experience in nearly every facet of residential construction. I’ve had the privilege to work on a variety of construction projects, ranging from residential to light commercial, but the most memorable project I have completed to date has been the home I designed and built for my own family.

FUN FACTS

While construction is in my bloodline, I also take pride in being very mechanically minded.

In High School I won first place at a metal casting contest with a to-scale wood pattern of an Indy car and then cast it in aluminum.

Today I continue to enjoy spending my free time working on cars, so much that I have a commercial grade automotive wheel balancer in my garage where I change and meticulously balance each one of my wheels and tires to achieve an airplane smooth ride.
