Job Title: Project Manager Intern
Reports to:Director of Construction
General Summary:This internship will primarily take place in the office. This individual will shadow, learn and be hands-on under the guidance of a subject matter expert.
Responsibilities:- Attend pre-construction meetings and facilitate communication with customers, subcontractors, and suppliers
- Obtain all required permits and ensure required inspections are performed
- Provide Site Superintendents with support and tools needed to run a successful project
- Conduct site visits and hold OAC meetings at regular intervals
- Maintain client satisfaction through frequent, clear, and proactive communication
- Ensure projects are on or under budget
- Assist accounting with customer invoicing
- Follow process controls for effective project management
- Problem-solve with colleagues on project issues, changes, etc. and provide ongoing product and application knowledge and support

Job Title: Superintendent Intern
Reports to:Director of Field Operations
General Summary:This internship will primarily take place in the field. This individual will shadow, learn and be hands-on under the guidance of a subject matter expert.
Responsibilities:- Attend hand-off meeting hosted by the Project Manager prior to start of project to go over permits, plans, specifications, scopes of work, submittals, RFIs, etc.
- Perform full review of contract documents (i.e., drawings, details of drawings, specifications, post- bid meeting minutes, bid clarifications, permits, etc.) prior to start of project.
- Schedule and attend on-site kickoff meeting with Project Manager and all subcontractors to review expectations, schedule, site specific safety program, and progress meeting schedule.
- Communicate with owners, subcontractors, inspectors, and team members to coordinate daily activities and document all important conversations/information.
- Manage and maintain safety on the site including toolbox talks, safety check lists, and continuous observation of safe work practices.
- Inspect all construction to ensure trade contractors’ work is in compliance with plans and specifications.
- Verify materials and installation are per approved submittals and shop drawings
- Coordinate scheduling of testing consultants and municipal inspections for construction activities and monitor the accuracy and timeliness of test reporting.
- Distribute requests for information (RFIs) as required.
- Monitor storm water pollution prevention plan and actively ensure compliance on a daily basis. Obtain required reports from designated storm water operator.
- Complete daily reports with pictures, documentation, relevant discussions, correspondence, etc.
- Schedule and coordinate weekly progress meetings with agenda, look ahead schedule, and minutes.
- Update master schedule at regular intervals.
- Maintain project as-built drawings.
- Create and distribute detailed GC punch list.
- Facilitate creation of owner/AE punch List. Set-up and track completion of listed items.
- Provide all necessary field documentation for close-out.

To be successful as a Metal Building Erector, applicant should be able to interpret blueprints, have a sound knowledge of building codes, follow and enforce safety regulations, demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills, and ensure that all tasks are completed in a timely manner.
Responsibilities:- Follows all established safety rules and regulations and maintains a safe and clean environment
- Follows direction of Steel Division Manager and has experience to lead crew, if needed
- Installs exterior door frames, doors, and windows.
- Shapes or cuts material to specified measurements using hand or power tools
- Identifies damage or defective parts of the structure and repairs and/or replaces

Framing Carpenter
General Summary:
CopperRock Construction looking to hire an experienced Framing Carpenter who can construct the framework of buildings and other structures according to construction plans.
To be successful as a Framing Carpenter, applicant should be able to interpret blueprints, have a sound knowledge of building codes, follow and enforce safety regulations, demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills, and ensure that all tasks are completed in a timely manner.
Framing Carpenter Responsibilities:
- Analyzing and understanding blueprints to determine structural framework and how to construct it.
- Attaching building materials using nails, screws, nuts, and bolts per building codes.
- Installing window frames, doors, door frames, door hardware, and exterior trim using a carpenter’s level and laser levels.
- Erecting temporary structures such as scaffolds and safety using ladders for assembling structures above ground levels.
- Studying specifications in blueprints or building plans to prepare project layout and determining dimensions and materials required.
- Accurately measuring, cutting, and shaping lumber, wood, and other building materials.
Following established safety rules and regulations and maintaining a safe and clean environment. - Examining building materials to identify any defects.
